You can customize default text that appears throughout the Course Player to help refine your branding.

How to Customize Course Player Text

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select the Learning content tab
  3. Click Customizable website text in the left menu
  4. Scroll through to locate the text you would like to customize
  5. Click Customize
  6. Input your desired text
  7. Click Save

To see what your changes look like, you can preview your course as a student! 

Course Player Customization Options

You can customize various text snippets that appear throughout the Course Player, where your student interacts with your course!

Course Player Navigation Text Snippets

  1. Go to Dashboard: Displayed in the Course Player and Communities navigation bar.
  2. Complete & continue: Displayed on the Complete & continue button in the Course Player.
  3. Mark Incomplete: Displayed on the Mark Incomplete button in the Course Player.
  4. Continue: Generic button text used in the Course Player to progress through the course.

Popups and Completion Prompts

  1. Rate this course!: Button text in the Course Player that allows students to add a Review for the course
  2. OK, got it: Generic button text used in the Course Player
  3. You completed {{chapter_name}}!: Heading displayed when students complete a chapter. Variable:{{chapter_name}}
  4. Congratulations! You completed {{course_name}}!: Heading displayed when students complete a course (unless you have a custom completion page). Variable: {{course_name}}
  5. Get your certificate: Button text displayed when students complete a course (if you have completion certificates enabled)
  6. Visit completion page: Button text displayed when students complete a course (if you have custom completion page turned on)

Quizzes

  1. Good job!: Heading displayed when students pass a quiz (passing grade required only)
  2. Whoops!: Heading displayed when students fail a quiz (passing grade required only)
  3. Confirm: Button text displayed to confirm a quiz answer
  4. Retake Quiz: Button text displayed on the Retake quiz button

Surveys

  1. Survey completed: Heading displayed when students complete a survey
  2. Skip questionButton text displayed in a survey if a question is made optional

Free Preview

  1. You have viewed all the free preview content: Heading displayed when students complete the free preview content
  2. This content is not included in the free preview: Heading displayed when students are in a free preview and attempt to access a lesson that is not included
  3. Buy the course to access all of the content: Explanation displayed when students are in a free preview and attempt to access a lesson that is not included
  4. Buy now: Primary button text displayed when students are in a free preview
  5. No thanks: Secondary button text displayed when students are in a free preview

Drip Content

  1. {{lesson_name}} has not yet been released: Heading displayed when students attempt to access a lesson that has not been released by the Drip schedule. Variable: {{lesson_name}}
  2. This content will be available to you on {{release_date}}: Explanation displayed when students attempt to access a lesson that has not been released by the Drip schedule. Variable: {{release_date}}

Prerequisite Lessons

  1. Prerequisite(s) have not yet been completed!: Heading displayed when students attempt to move forward without completing a prerequisite
  2. To move forward, please complete all prerequisites in {{chapter_name}}: Explanation displayed when students attempt to move forward without completing a prerequisite. Variable: {{chapter_name}}
  3. PREREQUISITE: Label for prerequisite lessons that appears in the Course Player - 16 character limit

On-Lesson Discussions

  1. Ask: The text displayed on the discussion Ask button in the Course Player
  2. 1 Discussion: Badge label & heading displayed in the Course Player when there is one posts on the lesson's discussion.
  3. {{count}} Discussions: Badge label displayed in the Course Player when there is multiple posts on the lesson's discussion. Variable: {{count}}
  4. Create new post: Button text & heading that appears in the Course Player Discussions.
  5. Instructor: Badge label displayed in Course Player Discussions for posts & replies made by admins.

Communities

  1. Moderator: Label displayed on posts & comments in Communities that are made by an admin.

Presentations

  1. Skip 1 slide?: Heading displayed when students try to complete a presentation lesson without viewing all slides.
  2. Skip {{count}} slides?: Heading displayed when students try to complete a presentation lesson without viewing all slides. Variable: {{count}}
  3. Skipping slides will complete the lesson: Modal body displayed when students try to complete a presentation lesson without viewing all slides
  4. Skip and Continue: Button text used to skip presentation lesson
  5. Back to Slides: Button text used to go back to presentation lesson
  6. You must view all slides to complete this lesson: Tooltip to communicate why the complete and continue button is disabled
