Checklist Before Publishing

Once you've Created your Course and carefully crafted your Course Landing Page, you're just about ready to Publish your Course. Take a few minutes to go through the checklist below to make sure you haven't missed anything!


Checklist

Use this checklist as a general guide to determine what steps you will want to consider before publishing your first course.  

  1. Check lessons with warnings

    • Make sure that you don't see any red warnings of missing content in the Curriculum tab, as shown in the image below:

  2. Uncheck Draft on all the chapters and lessons you want to available to your students

    • Even if your course is published, the Draft setting will keep content hidden until this setting is removed:

  3. Set up a payment integration

  4. Take a run-through of your course as a student

    • Preview your course as a student (by hitting 'preview' from the top right-hand corner of the course builder) to see if there's anything you've missed:

  5. Customize your site home page

Other optional customizations:

  1. Add a Free Preview

    • Create a Free Preview of your course to generate leads.

  2. Enable discussions

    • Add a discussion component to your course.

  3. Customize your site notifications

    • Customize the emails students will receive when they sign up for your course.

Got all of this covered? Huzzah! You're ready to publish your course! Go to the Publish section of your course, and hit the Publish button.
