Overview
Students can be segmented into Groups to help you organize by cohort, and group progress reporting is available to help you monitor your students' success by Group. The Group Analyst role was designed to give access to progress reports to specific team members, or 3rd parties, you are working with!
The Group Analyst role can be assigned to a user in your Thinkific account by a Site Admin or Site Owner, and they have the following permissions:
-
View and export student progress for assigned groups
-
View student names and emails for assigned groups
-
Access to Engagement Dashboard insights for their assigned Group (available on Plus plans only)
The number of available Group Analyst accounts varies by plan. Take a look at our Plan Comparison page for more details.
Group Analyst Dashboard
When a user is assigned a Group Analyst role, they will be able to log in to your Thinkific site to view Group progress reports specific to the Groups that you specify.
Their Thinkific Dashboard will have limited access based on the permissions listed above; Group Analysts will only be able to view reports for those Groups that have been added to their permissions.
From the Group Analyst dashboard, analysts can view student names, emails, and progress that has been made in courses.
Explore the dashboard from the Group Analyst perspective.
Group Progress Reports
Your Group Analysts will be able to view data on student progress from directly within Thinkific, and will have the option to export Group progress reports in a .CSV format with the following details:
- Student First Name
- Student Last Name
- Student Email
- Company - this is a deprecated field that a Site Admin can input in a student profile. We recommend using custom fields instead
- Completed At - this is the date on which the student reached 100% completion
- Started At - this represents the date when the student first accessed the Course Player for the course
- Activated At Date - the date the student enrolled in the course
- Expires At - the enrollment expiry date (only included in the CSV export)
- Course Name
- Last Sign In - the last date the student logged into their account
- % Viewed - Lessons that student has navigated to within the course
- % Completed - Lessons where student has clicked Complete & continue in the Course Player to mark the lesson complete
- Custom Fields (only included in the CSV export)
