Learner Hub Widgets

Learner Hub widgets are flexible building blocks of your Learner Hub home and custom pages. They can be added or removed from the Learner Hub to create an experience unique to your site.

• Role: Site Owner, Site Admin (configure); Learners (view)

What are Learner Hub Widgets?

The Learner Home and custom pages are made up of flexible, easy-to-navigate widgets. These appear based on what the learner has access to, so the experience is relevant for each learner. For example, if a learner hasn’t purchased any downloads, the Digital Downloads widget won’t show up.

You can add up to 25 widgets to each page (Home page or custom pages).

Getting Started Widgets

These widgets appear for all learners (if added to pages) and provide them with instructions on how to get started or get help. They help orient learners and make it easy to reach support.

Welcome Video

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget allows you to embed an intro video. This widget allows you to optionally upload a video to greet learners, introduce your program, or provide tips. Learners can dismiss this if they prefer not to see it again on the same device (but it might appear on a different device).

Get in Touch

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget includes the link to your site's support email. Learners can use it to reach you or your support team directly from the Learner Hub.

Product widgets

These widgets appear for learners with a corresponding access and provide them with ways to access their existing products or purchase/get access to more products.

Continue learning

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget displays the course the learner was last working on at the top, with a Start/Resume button and progress tracker. Below are up to three additional courses, helping them easily pick up where they left off.

The following rules apply when products are displayed:

• Four courses that the learner has started are listed, in order of last accessed
• If a learner has fewer than 4 started courses, the rest of the spots are filled with not-yet-started courses, in order of the most recently enrolled
• If a learner has no course access at all, only one item is shown, in this priority order: the Community with the most members they can access, the nearest upcoming Live Event they’re registered for, or their most recently acquired Digital Download.
• If a Learning Paths widget is also placed on the page, Continue Learning excludes any courses that belong to a Learning Path the learner is enrolled in, so the same course doesn’t show up in both widgets.

The rest of the courses can be accessed through the Library: The Learner Hub.

Additional Products

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget displays additional products a learner might be interested. The following products will appear in the list in the following order:

• If the learner's most recently purchased product has an order bump, and they have not yet purchased that order bump, this product will display in this section. 
• If no order bump qualifies, the cheapest unenrolled coaching product.
• If no order bump and coaching products qualify, then random non-hidden products that the learner has not enrolled in will display. 

Up to three products may be displayed.

Digital Downloads

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget provides quick access to any digital downloads the learner has purchased. Up to four digital downloads may be displayed on the web version and up to 2 on mobile. The rest of the downloads can be accessed through the Library: The Learner Hub.

Upcoming Events

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget shows up to three upcoming webinars or community-based live events.

Community Highlights

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget displays community posts from the most recent active community the learner is a part of, encouraging interaction and peer engagement.

Learning Paths

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget lets you guide learners through a structured, sequential set of courses right where they already spend their time. Note that the feature is available on Plus plans only. Learn more: Introducing Learning Paths in the Learner Hub.

AI Teaching Assistant

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget displays Thinker - AI Teaching Assistant chat, a smart assistant that helps learners search for and navigate content across their learning experience. It will appear here if it is enabled on your site. Note that the feature is available on Plus plans only.

Engagement Widgets

These widgets surface a learner’s personal progress data and motivate continued learning through streaks, goals, and onboarding steps.

Learner Engagement

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget tracks learners' weekly learning streak — helping them build a consistent study habit and stay motivated to complete their courses. Learn more here: Learner Engagement Streaks: Build a Learning Habit Week by Week.

Learner Goals

Available on the Home page, this widget lets each learner set a personal goal right on their Learner Hub home page — choosing from AI-generated suggestions based on their own course enrollments, or writing their own — so they have something concrete to work toward every time they log in. Get Started Checklist

Available on the Home page, this widget displays a set of actionable first steps shown to learners in the LearnerHub. Admins can enable this widget and configure which items appear. Learners can dismiss the checklist so it does not appear again on the same device (but it might appear on a different device). Customizable Widgets

These widgets let you add custom content to the Learner Hub pages without linking to a specific Thinkific product. Use them to display announcements, embed tools, or surface external content.

Rich Text

Available on the Home page and custom pages, this widget lets you add formatted text, images, and links using a rich-text editor in Site Builder. Use it for announcements or any content that doesn’t fit another widget type. Unlike most default widgets, you can add as many Rich Text widgets to a single page as you want.

Web Page

Available on custom pages, this widget allows you to display a web page as an iframe. You can choose a page hosted on Thinkific or any other page hosted externally, as long as the page allows iframing.

Custom Widgets

Available on the Home page and custom pages, custom widgets allow you to expand the standard Learner Hub functionality and build exactly what you need to create a unique learning experience for your learners.
