Switch to the Learner Hub

This feature is currently in beta, and is available by default on Thinkific sites created on or after January 28, 2026 and on some Thinkific sites created prior to January 28, 2026. We are working on adding features and functionality and releasing it to more customers. Stay tuned for updates if you do not see the option on your site!

Follow the steps below to switch to the Learner Hub.

Step 1: Review Differences between the Classic Student Dashboard and the Learner Hub

The Learner Hub replaces the Classic Student Dashboard with a modern layout and new features. You can only have one experience at a time. It is not possible to use the Learner Hub and the Classic Student Dashboard at the same time. To learn about the difference between the two, review this article: What is the Difference between the Classic Student Dashboard and the Learner Hub?

Step 2: Preview and Configure the Learner Hub

If a Learner Hub is available on your account, you will see the Learner Hub option on your Admin Dashboard. Select it to start configuring and managing it.

Learn how to customize it here: How to Customize Your Learner Hub.

Once ready, click on the Preview as a learner option to see what the Learner Hub would look like for your learners.

If you use Site Footer Code, you need to take additional steps to ensure that the site footer runs on the Learner Hub. Follow the steps here: How to Run Site Footer Code on the Learner Hub and New Course Player.

Custom code doesn't always work as expected on the learner hub and new course player.V alidate your code and review how it behaves before saving.

Step 3: Notify Your Learners about Changes to Their Experience

Once published, the Learner Hub will immediately be available to your learners and will replace the Student Dashboard. Learners will maintain their progress or access to their content, but we recommend notifying your learners in advance to avoid any confusion. We have prepared some copy you can use and a video you can share here: Notify Your Learners About the Learner Hub.

Step 4: Publish the Learner Hub

Once you have customized and previewed your Learner Hub, you are ready to publish. To publish your Learner Hub:

  1. From your Admin Dashboard, select Learner hub
  2. Select Publish learner hub
  3. Review the message and check Replace the student dashboard with the learner hub
  4. Select Publish learner hub

After publishing, the new Learner Hub will immediately be available to all your learners and they will no longer have access to the Student Dashboard.

Notify Your Learners About the Learner Hub

To help you communicate this update to your learners, we've put together some ready-to-use copy you can share across your channels. You'll find two versions below — one formatted for email, and one for a community post.

This copy is entirely optional and meant as a starting point. Feel free to tailor the wording, tone, and details to match your brand and the way you typically communicate with your audience. Simply replace the bracketed placeholders (e.g., [School Name], [First Name]) with your own information before sending.

We've made some exciting improvements to your learning experience — and we think you're going to love it.

Your student dashboard has been replaced with the Learner Hub: a cleaner, more unified home for everything you have access to through [School Name]. Instead of navigating between separate places for your courses, downloads, events, and community, it's all in one spot now.

Here's what you'll find inside:

  • Learner Home — A personalized landing page showing where you left off, your courses in progress, upcoming events, and recommendations for what content to explore next.
  • Library — All your enrolled courses and digital downloads, searchable and organized in one place. Pick up right where you left off, or find a certificate you've earned.
  • Community — Access your community spaces directly from the Hub, without switching tabs or apps.
  • Events — See your upcoming and past events at a glance.
  • Catalog — Browse additional courses and products available to you.

The Learner Hub is available now. Just log in as you normally would, and you'll land right in your new home.
