- I don't understand how to read my Ratings survey results?
- How do I read my Ratings Survey results?
- How do I understand my Ratings Survey results?
- How do I understand my ranking-style question Survey results?
Solution
When you export Quiz and Survey results to a CSV file, student answers to Rating-style Survey questions are formatted in a specific way.
This is an example of a Rating question on a Survey:
Students have the option to choose a rating between 1 and 5. Here's how their responses will appear in the CSV report export, depending on which rating they choose:
- A student chooses a rating of 1 - the exported report will show 1
- A student chooses a rating of 2 - the exported report will show 1, 2
- A student chooses a rating of 3 - the exported report will show 1, 2, 3
- A student chooses a rating of 4 - the exported report will show 1, 2, 3, 4
- A student chooses a rating of 5 - the exported report will show 1, 2, 3, 4, 5
If a student choose a rating of 5, this is how their answer would appear in the CSV file:
Important Considerations
-
Exported answers to Scale-style Survey questions will only show the response selected by the student, not all options on the scale up to where a student selected, as with the Rating-style question above.
