Adding a Call to Action Section
About This Section
The Call to Action section is one of the most basic elements of any website, especially one focused around sales or sign-ups. This section helps focus the attention of the visitor on a single action that you want them to take, and provides a button that links directly to that action or activity. Whether it makes use of an eye-catching image or a bold turn of phrase, the goal is always the same: get them to click.
Many of the sections in Site Builder are actually variations on this simple section, but pre-formatted or focused on a specific call to action. For example, the Course Banner section at the top of every course landing page is a call to action whose goal is to get the visitor to sign up for your course. It's always worth taking a look to see if a more specific section exists, but if not you can use one of these CTA sections to build exactly what you're missing.
This article covers the most basic Call to Action section, which uses text and a button overlaid on top of a full-width image. If you want to build a call to action with more prominent use of text, or a multi-column layout, take a look at our articles on the Text (with CTA) section or the Image & Text (with CTA) section.

Section Customization
Text: The heading is the title for the entire section. The subheading appears directly above or below the heading (depending on your Theme), and can be used to explain or reinforce the basic call to action. If necessary, you can use the Text color override to make sure the text is visible against your background.
Button: You can adjust the text on the button to match the action that will be performed. The link and page options control what will happen when a visitor clicks on the button. Type allows you to set the button's text and background color to your theme's primary or secondary settings.
If you prefer not to have a button at all, you can check off Hide button & make entire section clickable to do just that.
Background: Choose an image for your background if desired, and use the Image focal point to ensure that the focus stays where you want if the image is cropped as part of mobile viewing or a resized browser. The overlay color and overlay opacity allow you to add an overlay over the background image, to help ensure that it doesn't draw too much attention away from the call to action itself.
Size & alignment: The height controls how much vertical space the section will take up on your page, and the alignment adjusts the alignment of all the elements in the section.
