Question

  • How can I fix the social link in my footer?
  • I added a social link to my site's footer, but it takes me to a 404 page.

Solution

When adding a social link to your site's footer, you will want to make sure that you are using the full URL of the page that you would like to link to (i.e. https://www.facebook.com/groups/thinkific/), so we recommend copying the URL from the address bar and pasting it into the Link field.

If you find that your social link is not working, it may be because the https:// has been left out of the URL.

Without the https://, the link will be added to your site's URL as a subfolder, rather than linking out to the page itself, which will result in a 404 page. This is an easy fix! You will need to add the https:// into the URL and your social link will link to your desired page.
