If you have integrated with Stripe or Thinkific Payments and only see one currency available, this is due to how our payment processors handle currency. Although we cannot provide support for additional currencies, check out why this is and additional options below.

Changing Your Currency
Both Stripe and Thinkific Payments allow you to change your currency. However, depending on the country you are located in, there may also be limitations to your available currencies.
See how to access your available currencies here: Changing Your Currency
Why do I only have one currency option?
If there is only one currency listed in your payment settings, or your desired currency is not available, this is likely because of the country in which your business is located. We have some instructions below you can use to double check if your payment processor supports different currencies in your country.
Please note that any limitation in currencies is due to specific Stripe feature that we use for our payment processing called Stripe Connect. Due to the nature of our integrations, we are unable to provide additional currencies outside of your default.
Common Countries That Only Support One Currency
- Brazil - Brazil currently only supports Brazilian Real (BRL) currency
- India - India currently only supports Indian Rupee (INR) currency
If you require a different currency and your country is not supported, you can see alternate solutions here: External Payment Solution: What to Consider
How to Check If Your Country Supports Changing Currency
- Visit Stripe's documentation here: Supported Currencies
- Click on the dropdown menu to the right of Viewing requirements for:
- Locate your country on the list
- If your country is listed, different currencies will be available and you can see how to change your site currency here: Changing Your Currency
- If your country is not listed, the only currency available on your site will be your country's currency
Unfortunately if your country does not appear on this list, you will not be able to change your site currency. If you would like to request support for your country, we recommend reaching out to Stripe and submitting a feature request as Thinkific will only have available currencies for the countries included in the list above.
Why did Stripe tell me they support more currencies?
If you reach out to Stripe, they may tell you that they support more currencies. It is correct that Stripe supports more currencies, however in this case, the limitation is specifically with the Stripe feature that we use for our direct integration called Stripe Connect.
If you would like to use Stripe outside of our integration to support your required currency, check out Alternate Options below.
If you require a different currency and your country is not supported, you can can consider accepting payments using an external payment gateway.
