This article will cover adding a custom description to your course that includes a price.
Why would I want to add a price to my course description?
Pricing appears by default on the second step of your course checkout. If you are sharing a link directly to your checkout and bypassing all sales pages or buy buttons, you might want to include some details of your course pricing in your course description to be displayed on all steps of your course checkout pages.
Thinkific checkout is a two step process. In the first step, a new student will see a Checkout - sign in page, where they are required to input their name, email and password. In the second step, they will see the Checkout - payment page, which includes the course price and payment details.

If you would prefer a price displayed on the first step of the checkout, one option is to include it within your course description.
We only recommend this if you have one price for your course as it will be visible on every checkout for this particular course. We do not recommend this if you have set additional course pricing.
Where does the course description appear?
Your course description will appear in different areas depending on your theme. The description will appear on your checkout pages as seen above, as well as on the featured product of Additional Products section type. The Vogue theme will also show the description on all the course cards.
How to Add Pricing to Your Course Description
To Edit Your Course Description:
- Go to Manage Learning Content
- Select Courses
- Click on the image of your desired course
- Select the Settings tab
- Select Course image & description
- In the Course description field, input your desired text with pricing
- Click Save
This description will now appear in all steps of your checkout!
