Add a Chapter or Lesson to Your Course

A course can have multiple Chapters and Lessons. You can think of Chapters as buckets that can contain one or more Lessons. Chapters and Lessons can be added, deleted, and rearranged as desired. This article will cover adding new Chapters or Lessons to your course!

Important Considerations

• If you are adding content to your published course, make sure to Recalculate Progress to ensure your student progress is up to date!
• Newly created Chapters and Lessons are set to draft by default. 

How to Add a New Chapter

1. Go to Products
2. Select Courses
3. Click on a specific course in the Course Overview
4. You will now be in the Course Curriculum area of the Course Builder
5. On the left-hand side, click + Add Chapter
6. Name the Chapter title field as desired 
7. Click Save

How to Add a New Lesson

1. Go to Products
2. Select Courses
3. Click on a specific course in the Course Overview
4. You will now be in the Course Curriculum area of the Course Builder
5. On the left-hand side, click + Add Lesson
6. Select the desired Lesson Type
7. Name the Lesson Title as desired 
8. Add your content and select your desired settings for the lesson
9. Click Save

Newly created Chapters and Lessons are set to draft by default.
