Sharing your course on Facebook is a quick, simple, and free way to drive traffic to your Thinkific site.
How to Post Your Course On Facebook
One of the most effective ways to drive traffic to your site is to post a link directly to a course or bundle landing page. See How to Share Your Course on Social Media for steps.
Post Preview
When you share your course within a post, you will see a few details that auto-populate. This includes:
- Course card image
- Course title
- Course description
- Main site URL
You can see how to customize your course image here: Edit Your Course or Bundle Image
You can also customize what is pulled into your title and description with your SEO settings.
How OG Metadata Works
If you are curious how your preview is generated, Facebook automatically pulls in information about that page through Open Graph (OG) metadata. Find out more on the Open Graph protocol here.
For course landing pages we include some default OG metadata for you, ensuring that posts about your courses are engaging and eye-catching:
- OG image = the course card image
- OG title = the course title
- OG URL = the main site URL
For bundle landing pages we include the following OG metadata as standard:
- OG image = the bundle card image
- OG title = the bundle title
- OG URL = the main site URL
As mentioned above, if you want to customize any of this, make sure to Edit Your Course or Bundle Image and customize your SEO (Search Engine Optimizaton) settings!
