The following outlines the steps to take if you are trying to remove a student from any of your courses or communities due to a refund, subscription cancellation, incorrect registration, or for any other reason where they no longer need access to a course.

How to Unenroll a Student From Products
You can remove a student's access to a course, community, or all products included in a bundle at any time.
Unenroll a Student from a Course
- Under Users, click on All Users
- Find the student you want to unenroll, and click on their Name to view their user profile
- From the user profile, locate the desired Course and click the ellipses (three dots) on the right
- Click Unenroll From Course
- Click Unenroll in the confirmation popup
Once you’ve done that the user will no longer have access to the Course!
Unenroll a Student from a Bundle
- Under Users, click on All Users
- Find the student you want to unenroll, and click on their Name to view their user profile
- From the user profile, locate the desired Bundle and click the ellipses (three dots) on the right
- Click Unenroll From Bundle
- Click Unenroll in the confirmation popup
Once you’ve done that the user will no longer have access to the Bundle and products included in the bundle!
Unenroll a Student from a Community
- Under Users, click on All Users
- Find the student you want to unenroll, and click on their Name to view their user profile
- From the user profile, locate the desired Community and click the ellipses (three dots) on the right
- Click Unenroll From Community
- Click Unenroll in the confirmation popup
Once you’ve done that the user will no longer have access to the Community!
Subscriptions and Payment Plans
Subscriptions and payment plans are not automatically cancelled when a student is unenrolled and must be manually cancelled in Stripe or manually cancelled through Thinkific Payments.
When you unenroll a student that has a subscription or payment plan in Stripe that is tied to their enrollment, there will be a reminder prompt to cancel the student's subscription in Stripe.
If the subscription has already been cancelled in Stripe manually or due to nonpayment, this is not tied to our integration, so you will still see this reminder prompt, but can safely ignore it!

Processing Refunds
Unenrolling a user does not automatically refund any payments made for the course. Refunds need to be made from your Stripe, PayPal or, Thinkific dashboard. Here’s how to do that for:
Once you have processed the refund, be sure to also follow the instructions above to remove the student from the course if you have not already!
Important Considerations When Refunding
- For all payment options, there are no fees to refund a payment, but the fees on the original charge will not be returned in case of a refund.
