Question
- Can I allow a student to re-enroll in a bundle before access to the courses in the bundle expires?
Solution
Since we prevent students from purchasing the same course or bundle if they are already enrolled, you may experience a scenario where you would like your students to be able to renew access to a bundle before the current access expires.
If this is a regular occurrence or part of your business model, we recommend using a subscription price, so that the payment (and expiry) renew automatically. If you are in the middle of changing how your courses are being offered, or there are exceptional circumstances for a particular student, you can also use these workarounds to help your students renew without losing access to their courses temporarily!
You have the following options to allow students to renew access to your bundle without losing access:
- You can create a 2nd bundle with the same courses and have students buy that new bundle. If that new bundle has an expiry date in the future, this new expiry date will be applied to all the courses in the bundle. So when your students buy this bundle, all of their course expiry dates will be updated as well.
- OR: You can manually adjust the course expiry dates for each student to a few days past the current bundle expiry date. This way, when the current bundle expires, the students will still have access to the individual courses for a few days. In that window, they will be able to repurchase the original bundle.
If you are looking to have a renewal option going forward, we highly recommend considering setting up a subscription price for your bundle before students re-purchase.
