About This Feature
Cookies are small text files that contain pieces of data, such as saved usernames and passwords. Cookies can be used to identify specific user accounts, improve your web browsing experience, and facilitate advertising and affiliate features on your Thinkific site. When you sign in to Thinkific, a session cookie is saved to your web browser to keep you signed in and save your place in some types of lesson content, such as videos.
How It Works
Sign in Without Remember Me
When you sign into Thinkific on a web browser and uncheck Remember me, a session cookie is created. This means you won't have to re-sign into your Thinkific account until you close your browser window (on Windows devices) or until you fully exit your browser (on Apple devices). At this point, the session cookie will expire. Additionally, if you clear your cache or if you're inactive (don't click to a different page on Thinkific) for 3 days, this will also cause your session cookie to expire.
Sign in With Remember Me
When you sign into Thinkific, the Remember me is checked by default.
This sign-in option uses a cookie to keep you signed in to your Thinkific account for 30 days. After 30 days, the session cookie will expire, and you will be asked to sign back in. Additionally, if you clear your cache during these 30 days, your session cookies will expire and you will be asked to sign back in.

Important Considerations
- The option to Remember me is not available when using SSO, so you will need to sign in every time you exit your browser while using this feature.
- The option to Remember me is not available when using Social Sign In (LinkedIn, Google, and Facebook), so you will need to sign in every time you exit your browser while using this feature.
- On Windows devices, if you simply click to close a browser tab and not the entire window, this will not end your browser session.
- On Apple devices, if you simply click to close a browser tab or window, this will not end your browser session.
How to Add a Cookie Consent Bar
As most European countries now have cookie consent laws in place, Thinkific customers may need to integrate a cookie consent bar on their site to ensure compliance with these laws. Adding this bar to your Thinkific site will let visitors know that your site uses cookies and will give you the option of notifying them of this.
