Question

  • My domain provider is trying to renew my SSL certificate but it is failing.
  • I received an email from my domain provider that says my website's secured domain failed DCV.
  • What is AutoSSL?

Solution

Many domain providers auto-renew a site's SSL certificate using AutoSSL.

However, Thinkific sites don't require AutoSSL as the SSL certificate is provided by Thinkific.

If you have received a notification from your domain provider that the auto-renewal of your SSL certificate has failed DCV (Domain Control Validation), we recommend reaching out to your provider to turn off auto-renewal.
