If you are located in India and have set up a Stripe account, you can only charge INR using the Thinkific Stripe integration.
Setting Your Currency
If you are located in India and have set up your Stripe integration, you will need to make sure to select INR as your currency.
Although you will see a list of currency options available on the Thinkific side, if you select a currency other than INR, students will see a "The transaction was declined." error when attempting to pay for your course.
Why are non-INR transactions declined?
Stripe has an exports feature that allows transactions where the good or service sold will be consumed outside of India, however to utilize this feature, they have specific requirements that you can check out here: Requirements for India export charges.
Specifically, an export charge has name, billing address and description requirements that are not passed through the Thinkific built in checkout and Stripe integration.
Alternative Options
If you need to charge a currency other than INR, one option is to set up a payment solution outside of Thinkific. We have some details on how to get started with that here: External Payment Solution: What to Consider
