Updating the details of the Site Owner can only be done if you are logged in as the Site Owner at the time.
- If you are still in good standing with the previous Site Owner, you can ask them to provide you with the login credentials. Using the login, you will be able to access the account and change the Site Owner details by following these steps: Changing Your Site Owner
- If the above is not an option, and if you have access to the email account they used at the company, you can follow these instructions to request a reset password email: How to Reset Your Password. Once you have reset the password, you can use the email and new password to log in and change the site owner details.
Important Considerations
-
If you no longer have access to the email, you will need to work with your email provider to regain access. In the event that the Site Owner has left the company and the person with the site email doesn't work with you anymore, you will need to confer with your IT department to recover and access the email to make the change yourself.
-
For security reasons, we are unable to change the site owner email address, unless it is required by a court order or government request. In cases where a government request or a court order is obtained, please provide the required documents along with the URL to the court proceedings which are made public.
- In the event that you signed up for a Thinkific account and misspelled your email address, we ask that you create a new account with a correctly spelled email address.
Changing the Site Owner email or credit card details will not update your subscriptions billing email address or the login to the Thinkific Training Site. To update these details, contact the Support team. You'll need to make sure you are contacting us from the email address of the active Site Owner.
