About the Thinkific Salesforce Connector

How do I get started?
You will need to connect your Salesforce Instance (Salesforce Lightning Experience) with each of your Thinkific schools/sites manually for now. Please work with your internal Salesforce administrator and follow the instructions in the PDF guide provided above. Your Thinkific Customer Success Manager (CSM) is available for all troubleshooting and questions.
Note: As of April 2021, the Thinkific Salesforce Connector is in beta testing — please contact your CSM for more details!
Can data be mapped to a custom object or only the contact field in Salesforce?
Organizations will often have their own definition of what a lead and a contact is so there may be a case where you are using leads/contacts to track internal data and will create new objects in Salesforce to track customer data - for example, Student Name.
For this version of the connector, you can only map a student in Thinkific to a Salesforce contact for a given school. Please let your Customer Success Manager know what improvements you would like to see in this area.
We currently support viewing course enrollments and student progress data from Thinkific within your Salesforce contact. In order for the data to appear in Salesforce, you must have an existing contact in Salesforce with the same email address as the student in Thinkific.
The following features are not currently supported within Salesforce:
- Viewing Groups data
- Viewing Certificates received
- Viewing Quiz results
- Viewing new Order details (e.g. quantities and amounts)
- Bi-directional sync of data: This includes creating contacts in Salesforce and enrolling them into Thinkific courses directly from within Salesforce as well as auto-creation of contacts in Salesforce based on new students within Thinkific.
