Shopify App: Can I cancel the Thinkific account connected to my Shopify account?

Yes! If you created your account from the Thinkific app in the Shopify marketplace and no longer want to use your Thinkific account, you can cancel directly from Shopify or you can downgrade to our Free plan. 

This article is for Shopify customers using Thinkific. This means you originally installed the Thinkific App through the Shopify Marketplace and are billed through Shopify. If you created your Thinkific account independent from Shopify or aren't sure, please reach out to the Support team!

Uninstall the Thinkific App

If you no longer plan on using Thinkific, you can simply uninstall the Thinkific app from your Shopify account. See instructions on that here: Shopify - Uninstall an app.

Downgrade to the Free Plan

If you still want to use Thinkific but would like to downgrade to our Free plan, you can do this from within your Thinkific account. 

This will cancel your subscription and you will still have access to your Thinkific account on the Free plan. For details on features you will lose access to, see: What happens when I cancel my Thinkific subscription?

You'll first need to navigate to Thinkific. If you are currently in Shopify, you can:

  1. Select Apps
  2. Click Thinkific - Online Courses
  3. Click Thinkific Admin on the top right

Then you can make changes to your current subscription:

  1. From your Admin Dashboard in Thinkific, select Account
  2. Select Account Management
  3. Click Manage Subscription
  4. Select Cancel Plan
  5. Fill out confirmation popups to complete the cancellation
