When you have a Drip Schedule applied to your course, students will see a default message when attempting to access content that is not yet available. This default messaging can be fully customized!

About This Feature

If a student attempts to access a lesson that is not released yet due to a Drip Schedule, they will see a prompt within the Course Player indicating the date and time the lesson will be available.

The default Drip message consists of 2 parts:

  1. Heading
  2. Explanation

Heading

By default, the top heading portion of your Drip message is formatted like this: Lesson name has not yet been released.

Explanation

An explanation will appear under your heading and is formatted like this: This content will be available to you on Release Date.

Lesson name and Release date and time will change dynamically based on your the title of your lesson as well as your custom Drip Schedule.

If you prefer to include your custom copy in this prompt, the default messaging can be fully customized!

How to Customize Your Heading Text

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select the Learning Content tab
  3. Select Customizable website text on the left menu
  4. Scroll until you see {{lesson_name}} has not yet been released.
  5. Click Customize
  6. Input your desired text. You can use the variable {{lesson_name}} to auto-populate your lesson name in this message
  7. Click Save

Great! Now students will see a custom prompt:

How to Customize Explanation Text

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select the Learning Content tab
  3. Select Customizable website text on the left menu
  4. Scroll until you see This content will be available to you on {{release_date}}.
  5. Click Customize
  6. Input your desired text. You can use the variable {{release_date}} to auto-populate the date and time your student will have access.
  7. Click Save

Great! Now students will see a custom prompt:

These customizations will apply to all courses on your site that have a Drip Schedule.
