Our Drip Schedule feature allows you to release your content to students over time.
Right now, emails are not automatically sent to students when content is released, however students will see a prompt within each lesson letting them know when their content will be available:
We’re always working behind the scenes on improvements and if you would like to add your vote to Drip Schedule notifications, we want to know. Please send us a quick email to let us know what functionality would be most valuable to you!
In the meantime, we have a few alternative options to send out notifications.
Turn on Weekly Reminder Emails
A great option is to turn on Weekly Reminder Emails. These are sent out every week to any students with new/incomplete course content.
Create a Drip Campaign in Your Email Marketing Solution
Or, if you'd like to set some emails up to mirror your Drip Schedule, then you can do that using your email marketing solution. All you'll need is to:
- Make sure that your email marketing solution adds students to a specific mailing list when they sign up for your Drip course. If one of our built-in integrations does not support that, you can always use Zapier to segment your students: Zapier: Segment New Students to a Course Specific Email Marketing List
- Create a Drip Campaign (schedule a series of emails) for that mailing list that matches your Drip Schedule
This way when students sign up for your course, they are automatically added to a specific mailing list with a Drip Campaign that matches your course Drip Schedule!
Note that this recommendation works well with a Drip Schedule by Calendar date and Student Enrollment Date. If you have set up a Drip by Course Start Date, you can use Zapier to add students to a specific mailing list using a lesson completed trigger instead of by new enrollment. This way they are only added to your mailing list when they officially start the course!
