About This Feature
Connecting your Shopify store with your Thinkific site is easy to do and empowers you to create an amazing experience for your customers by serving them with educational content alongside your other goods.
When the app is installed, all of your Thinkific courses are imported into Shopify (as Shopify products). Whether you are using a Shopify Online Store, Buy Button, Point-of-Sale, or other Sales Channel, your Thinkific courses are available to be sold in your marketplace, right alongside all of your other goods. Just set a price, select a sales channel and you're ready to sell!
How It Works
Using the app, while customers will be able to purchase your Thinkific courses from your Shopify store, they will still consume the course in Thinkific with the experience you have crafted for them there.
The way this works is that Thinkific handles the Fulfillment of each purchase order for you automatically. When a customer purchases one of your courses in Shopify, a student account is immediately created for them in Thinkific and they are granted access to the course to begin their learning. Your customers will then receive an email that welcomes them to your Thinkific site and prompts them to claim their account and set their password to begin learning.
It's that simple!
It's worth noting that because the purchase of a course is happening in Shopify, the Order and Transaction information will also be recorded in Shopify. Thinkific contains a separate Orders tracking feature, however, Shopify purchases will not be tracked as Orders in Thinkific. For that reason, if you are only selling courses only with Shopify, you should not expect to see your orders reflected in your Thinkific dashboard or admin. The same applies to Thinkific's Coupons, Affiliates, and similar features - these are not used or tracked for Shopify purchases. Essentially the payment systems on Shopify and on Thinkific are entirely separate.
