Shopify App: Step 1 - Connect Shopify and Thinkific

If you want to get started selling online courses in your Shopify store or sell your existing Thinkific courses on Shopify, this article will cover the basic steps on how to connect Shopify and Thinkific so you can get started!

You can only connect one Shopify store per Thinkific account.

Creating a New Thinkific Account 

If you have a Shopify store, but don't have a Thinkific account just yet, no problem! You can get started by creating a new Thinkific account here!

Once you have created a Thinkific account, see the Connecting Your Existing Thinkific Account section below.

Connecting Your Existing Thinkific Account 

If you already have a Shopify store and Thinkific account and would like to connect to Shopify, you can get started as follows:

1. In your Thinkific Admin Dashboard, select Integrations from the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen
2. Click Visit App Store to go to the Thinkific App Store
3. Locate the Shopify app in the Thinkific App Store
4. Click to Accept & install the Shopify app
5. Once the app has successfully been installed, you will be taken to the Shopify app page in the Apps tab of your Thinkific dashboard
6. Click Install on Shopify
   
7. A Shopify window will open to the Shopify app store. Click Install, then if prompted, login to your Shopify store
8. Select Install on the bottom right
9. In the Thinkific sign in page, input your Thinkific email, site URL, and password
10. Click Connect site
11. Congrats! You are now connected and if you already have courses ready to sell, you can start preparing to launch your course on Shopify!

Creating a Shopify Store and Connecting Your Existing Thinkific Account

If you already have a Thinkific account, but don't have a Shopify store yet, you can get started with Shopify! 

1. In your Thinkific Admin Dashboard, select Integrations from the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen
2. Click Visit App Store to go to the Thinkific App Store
3. Locate the Shopify app in the Thinkific App Store
4. Click to Install the Shopify app
5. Once the app has successfully been installed, you will be taken to the Shopify app page in the Apps tab of your Thinkific dashboard
6. Click Create Shopify store
   
7. Input your email to get started with a free trial
