Thinkific will provide regular updates for your branded mobile app once it is live. In order for us to update your app in a timely fashion, please ensure that you're regularly performing these steps as needed. Each new version of your branded mobile app will include improvements and bug fixes that will enhance your student experience. This article will outline steps and procedures to keep your branded mobile app in good health.
Apple and Google will typically email you when they require additional steps.
Keep Your Agreements Up to Date
Both Apple and Google require you, as the account owner of your app store accounts, to agree to certain terms and conditions to make use of their app stores. Occasionally, brand new agreements or new versions of an existing agreement become available and must be signed before we can upload a new version of the app. Follow the instructions below to sign these agreements.
Sign Agreements in the Apple App Store
- Go to App Store Connect
- Click Business on the top bar
- If prompted, select your business entity
- Review the header for any outstanding prompts and complete them
- Review the status column for any agreements that are not Active and complete them
Sign Agreements in the Google Play Store
- Go to your Google Play Console
- Review the space under your organization name for any outstanding agreements
Complete Identity Verification Steps
Both Apple and Google require that the account owner's identity be verified before we can publish or update your branded mobile app. Occasionally Apple and Google require new verification steps or additional identity information. Follow the instructions below to update this information.
Verify Identity in the Apple App Store
- Go to App Store Connect
- Review the header for any outstanding prompts and complete them
Verify Identity in the Google Play Store
- Go to your Google Play Console
- Review the space under your organization name for any outstanding identity verification steps

Through the course of owning your branded mobile app, you may want to update your app logo, or your app's listing in some way. If you want to update your app, we'll take care of this change request for you. To do so:
- Reach out to Thinkific's Branded Mobile Team via email
- Include the details of what you want to change (e.g.)
- Provide a new, high-resolution square app logo
- Provide a specific copy of how you want your listing changed
- Provide a list of courses you want us to use for your screenshots
Important Considerations
- Ensure that all of your agreements and identity verification steps are complete before submitting a change request. We cannot publish changes until you are up to date.
- In order for us to complete your update, we must wait for a new version of the branded app to be available. Apple does not allow us to update a listing without a new app version.
