How Spotify Courses Work
Selling your courses on Spotify opens a new revenue stream to monetize your unique genius. Spotify simplifies your promotional workload by promoting your courses through its mobile and desktop apps. While Spotify manages the entire student experience, from purchasing to learning and support, you retain full ownership and control of your content within Thinkific.
When learners purchase your course through Spotify, the revenue is split between you, Spotify, and Thinkific. Stay informed about your overall course sales on Spotify, while finding everything you need for success right on Thinkific.
1. Apply to Spotify Courses
Spotify Courses is currently in its pilot phase and is collaborating with a select group of Creators. This pilot will only be available to Spotify users in the United Kingdom with a long-term goal of having creator content available worldwide.
If you want to participate in the pilot program, please submit your application by navigating to the Spotify section on your Thinkific Admin Dashboard. Applications will be reviewed, waitlisted, and accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Upon approval, our Partnership and Onboarding team will be in contact to provide you with more details about the opportunity and guide you through the next steps in the process.
2. Select Your Course Offering
As a Creator in the pilot program, our Onboarding team will guide you through the initial setup and provide recommendations for courses that would be valuable additions to Spotify. Take a moment to review your existing course offerings and consider which ones align best with Spotify's audience and learning environment.

3. Adapt Your Course for Spotify

5. Submit Your Course for Review
The Course Settings page helps you prepare and optimize your course on Spotify by ensuring your course meets all of Spotify's requirements. You can also customize your course details in your course settings to increase your course’s discoverability and ensure your course is well-positioned for success.

6. Sell Your Course on Spotify
Create and verify your Stripe Express account to start receiving Spotify course payouts.

Spotify Revenue Share Model
Courses sold on Sopitfy operate on a revenue share model, where you, as a Creator Educator, Spotify, and Thinkific, share the revenue generated from the courses sold on Spotify. The platform fee will be deducted from your net course sales and paid out to you through Stripe Express
Revenue Share Breakdown
- Spotify Platform Fee is 50% of net sales
- Thinkific Platform Fee is 10% of net sales
- Creator Revenue is 40% of net sales
