Navigating Your Apple App Store Listing
To access your Branded app listing in the Apple App Store:
- Go to App Store Connect
- From My Apps, select your app

While the Apple App Store offers many different options to manage your listing, below are some of the key settings you will need to be aware of when managing your app:
- Navigate between App Store, Services, TestFlight, XCode Cloud options
By default, the page will open with the App Store tab selected, where most of the relevant settings are located. - Your app versions and their status
An overview of your app version and its status. Click on the app version to see version-specific information, such as description, previews and screenshots, version updates, etc. Note: the Thinkific team will provide this information to you when a new version is released. - App Information

Measure Your App and Store Listing Performance
Measure your app’s performance and get unique insights with data you won’t find anywhere else with Apple Analytics. This tool allows you to see how users engage with your app and provides key metrics related to app usage, user engagement, and performance.
To access Apple Analytics:
- Go to App Store Connect
- From App Analytics, select your app
- The Overview page opens with a summary of key app metrics
- To view detailed information, select Metrics
- The Metrics page opens with product page views displayed by default.
Some of the key metrics include:
- App Store performance: information about how often your app appears in the App Store search results and category listings, giving you insights into the visibility and discoverability of your app. This information can be used to optimize your listing (see below).
- App Used and Engagement: shows a variety of user engagement metrics. This metric shows if people continue to use your app and provide you with the number of installations, sessions, and active devices, among other things.

Optimize Your App Listing
Product Page Optimization allows you to run tests to find the best-performing product page for your app. You can optimize your app listing by comparing different app icons, screenshots, and app previews to test which ones resonate with customers the most. Coupled with App Analytics, you can increase your app discoverability and boost your app downloads.
To access Product Page Optimization:
- Go to App Store Connect
- From My Apps, select your app
- Under the Features section, select Product Page Optimization

The Apple App Store offers a variety of tools you can use to help promote and market your app. Access them here: Apple Market Services. Search for your app to get access to tools that allow you to:
- Download app icon artwork to embed on your website and other channels

To access your Branded app listing in the Google Play Store:
- Go to your Google Play Console

Measure Your App and Store Listing Performance
Measure the performance of your app and your store listing by utilizing built-in Google Play Store features.
To view the performance of your app across different dimensions and to compare your app's performance to similar apps:
- Go to your Google Play Console
- In the All Apps section, select your app
- In the menu on the left, select Statistics
To view the performance of your store listing and get the number of installations by Countries, Countries, or Installs per Keyword, as well as other performance metrics:
- Go to your Google Play Console
- In the All Apps section, select your app
- In the Grow section in the menu on the left, select Store Performance

Optimize Your App Listing
Use the data from the Store Performance tab to optimize your listing to ensure discoverability. We recommend trying out different descriptions and keywords to test which ones resonate with your audience the most and which ones lead to more downloads and increased retention.
Additionally, Google Play Console allows you to optimize your install conversion rate by running free A/B tests on your store listing text and graphics. By providing acquisition data and 1-day retention rates for each version of your store in the A/B experiment, the Google Play Store allows you to make improvements to your listing.
To set up an A/B test:
- Go to your Google Play Console
- In the All Apps section, select your app
- In the Grow section in the menu on the left, select Store Presence
- Select Store listing experiments
