About This Feature

How It Works
To start the process of Branded Mobile App enablement, you will need to express interest and add yourself to the Branded app waitlist. You can do it directly on your Thinkific site (see instructions below) or by filling our a form here. From there, Thinkific will reach out to set up a call to review your information and provide additional details. You will partner with the Thinkific team to help you build and publish your app.
Once your app is built, approved, and released, all your students need to do is download your app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
After downloading and installing the app, your audience can access their learning products, participate in communal learning interactions, and enjoy fast, easy, on-the-go access to materials they need, all within the app that extends your brand identity across all learning channels.

Important Considerations
- The Branded Mobile App is designed to deliver amazing learning experiences to students and does not support school administration. Site Owners and Admins (and users with other roles other than Student) will need to use the web version of Thinkific.
- Currently, branded apps are only available for those on Plus plans.
- While in the future we envision opening a selling channel for creators to sell to their audience in-app, at this moment the app doesn't support in-app purchases. Your audience can access already purchased learning products using the app.
- The Branded Mobile App is currently in Beta. This means that some of the mobile features mentioned in this article are currently being built out and tested - there is no guaranteed timeline for when each feature will be released.

Getting Started
You can express your interest in the Branded Mobile App in Settings:
- Go to your Admin Dashboard
- Select Settings
- Select the Mobile app tab
- Click Get on the Waitlist
The Thinkific team will review your submission and contact you with further information.

Branded Mobile-Only Features
The Branded Mobile app comes with unique features that allow you to differentiate your business. These features include:
- Your own Google Play Store and Apple App Store listings: This makes it easy for your audience to discover your branded mobile app while giving you the flexibility and control to personalize your listing to reflect your brand.

Mobile-Only Features
Both Branded and Thinkific Mobile Apps offer some unique features that are available only on a mobile. These features include:
- Drip Lessons release notifications: students can now receive notifications on their mobile app letting them know when previously-locked lessons are available!
- Push notifications for community activity: draw students back in and keep engagement high with the new push notifications. Students get notified when new activity happens in the communities they are enrolled in.

Course Features
Course features on the mobile app allow your students to access your courses, anytime, anywhere.
The app is considered an additive complement to the web experience. As such, we have prioritized providing end users with lesson types that will allow them to complete learning on the go, and access your content in the most convenient way for them.

Do I need to manually update my Branded app when Thinkific releases a new feature?
No, all mobile apps will be updated remotely by Thinkific.
Can I create learning products or manage my site using the app?
No, the Branded Mobile App does not support school administration. Site Owners and Admins (and users with other roles other than Student) will need to use the web version of Thinkific.
Does the Branded Mobile app work everywhere or are there location limitations?
There are no regional access limitations. We are global, so the Thinkific Mobile app works everywhere Thinkific does.
What are the operating system requirements?

Can my students access content offline?
No, the Branded Mobile App does not support the delivery of the content offline. You can allow your students to download certain lesson content (videos, PDFs, audio) and they can view it directly on their devices.
