Let your students access their learning content, including courses, digital downloads, and Thinker, AI Teaching Assistant, through the Thinkific Mobile App or your Branded Mobile App.
How to Access Learning Content on the Go
The Thinkific Mobile App and a Branded Mobile App allow your students to easily access their learning products wherever they are, using a native app on their mobile devices. Once your students have downloaded the Mobile App (Thinkific or Branded) and logged in, they will have access to their learning materials on the go.
Start by setting up your mobile app:
Learning Features on the App
Supported learning features
The following learning features are available on the app:
- Courses: All lesson types (except Disqus Discussion Forum)
- Courses built using the Classic Course Builder
- Courses built using the New Course Builder
- SCORM-compliant courses
- Course completion: drip schedule, prerequisite lesson, default chapter completion message
- Thinker, AI-powered assistant
- Digital Download products
- Certificates
Unsupported learning features
The following learning features are not supported on the app:
- Any Thinkific App Store apps
- Plus Expansion Pack apps
- Discqus discussion forum lesson type
- On-lesson discussions
- Free preview lessons
- Customized Course Player appearance (individual course player customizations, ability to hide lesson type and icon)
- Customizes course player behaviour (disabling text copying, social sharing, customizing chapter and course completion messages, disabling chapter completion messages)
- Course reviews
Disqus Discussion lessons are not supported on the mobile app, as the integration is no longer available on new Thinkific accounts created after May 2021. When trying to access a Disqus lesson, your students will see a message "[Lesson name] Take this lesson on the web and return to the app once you're done" and will have the option to skip the lesson or view it on the web.
Access Courses on the Mobile App
Your students can access courses they are enrolled in either from the Home tab or from the Library tab. Students can find their product by searching using a search function or by filtering by categories.
Once your student has selected a course, a screen with the course curriculum for that course will open. This screen will act as both an introduction to the course and an index of the lessons contained within the course. This is where students can complete lessons and navigate through the course.
Your students can click on Start or Resume to continue from the beginning or where they left off.
Access Digital Downloads on the Mobile App
Your students can access digital downloads they have purchased either from the Home tab or from the Library tab (under the Digital Downloads section). Students can find their product by searching using a search function or by filtering by categories.
Access Thinker, AI Teaching Assistant on the Mobile App
If Thinker AI Teaching Assistant is enabled on your site, your students can access it from the Home tab or from your courses.
Access Thinkific Certificates on the Mobile App
Your students can access the Thinkific Certificates they earned directly in the Mobile App. To access them:
- From any tab in the app, click on the profile icon in the header
- Click Certificates
Important Considerations
- Features that are not available in the Mobile App can still be accessed using the web (browser) version of your Thinkific site.
