About This Section
The Community overview [smart section] is included on your community landing pages and automatically populates important details about your community for visitors to easily see what your community is all about!
By default, it will be populated by details from your community including your community image, description, current number of members, number of posts and price. These can all be fully customized to display any key details you prefer.
Adding a Community Overview
You'll see this section is included by default on your community landing pages. If you would like to add another Community overview [smart section]:
- From your Admin Dashboard, select Design Your Site
- In Site Pages, select the page where you want to add the section
- Click the pencil icon to edit this page in Site Builder
- Click Add section and select Community overview [smart section] from the list
Optional: Rearrange the position of the new section, if necessary
- Select Community overview [smart section] to open the section settings
- Select Heading & description to customize details of what your community is about
- Select Community card to customize key details and icons displayed on the card (see details below)
- Select Background & layout to customize the color and padding of the entire section box
- Click Save to apply your changes
Section Customization
Heading & description: When Automatically add the community description is checked off, this section will include your community description as set in your community settings. To create a custom description, uncheck this box and use the text field under Description to add unique text. Heading text can be customized as well as alignment.
Community card: The community card automatically displays the image you have included your community settings. When Automatically add the community name is selected, the card will display your community name. Uncheck this option and fill in the text box under Heading to customize this text.
The card will display the member course, post count and price by default. Simply select the Hide checkbox beside each option if you do not want this displayed.
You can also add your own custom details and icons to display on the card using the Icon and Text fields.
Background & layout: Select your primary or secondary color for your background. These colors can be customized in your Theme Settings. You can also choose to remove the top or bottom section padding.
