Solution
Apps that you install can access different types of information and data from within your Thinkific site. This includes information about you and your site, as well as your users, their orders, and their enrollment progress.
This access to your data is necessary for these apps to perform their function properly. For example, an app may access or create new Coupons for your site in order to help properly support your marketing efforts when using their tool.
Scopes
Before a third-party app can be added to the Thinkific App Store, it must list all applicable scopes that it requires. Scopes are a mechanism used to restrict access to your data on a granular level. The scopes that the app has selected will be displayed on the consent page prior to installation so you know exactly what data you are sharing with the app.
The inclusion of scopes aims to limit data access for apps to only what they need to function while providing total transparency at installation. Any apps requesting personally identifiable data will also be subject to extra scrutiny during the review process.

Uninstalling Apps
At any point, you can navigate to the admin dashboard of your Thinkific site and uninstall a 3rd party app. This will revoke the app's ability to access your data.
If you find the behavior of an app to be suspicious please be sure to select this reason for uninstalling and one of the Thinkific team will reach out for more information.
App Review Process
Each app on the Thinkific App Store is also reviewed extensively by our team prior to listing. It will need to pass a variety of security checks in order to get approved and listed.
