What Happens when a User is Deactivated?

When deactivated:

  • The user loses the ability to sign in and access your site.
  • User's course enrollments, progress, certificates, and orders are kept.
  • Content they created is kept and is attributed to them.
  • By default, deactivated users are hidden from the Users table, but can be found using the Status: Deactivated filter.
  • Deactivated users will display the Deactivated status button in the Users table (visible only once filtered by status) and on the user profile.
  • You can reactivate them at any time.

The deactivation does not:

  • Cancel active user subscriptions. If you want to prevent feature charges, cancel or pause user' subscription.
  • Remove the user from third-party integrations.
  • Trigger any webhooks or API calls.
  • Delete any user data.

  6. Confirm the action by selecting Reactivate

The user can sign in immediately with their existing credentials, and their enrollments, progress, certificates, and orders are exactly as they were before deactivation.
