How to Create a Scheduled Post
When creating a post in your community, you can choose a future date and time for it to publish instead of posting it immediately.
- From the Admin Dashboard, go to Products
- Select Communities
- Locate your desired community, click the ellipses (3-dot icon), and select Go to Community
- Navigate to your desired space
- Click the post box to begin creating your post
- Add your content - text, images, attachments, mentions, or links
- Click the clock icon in the bottom-right corner of the post box
- Select the date and time you would like your post to publish at
- Click Schedule
At the scheduled time, the post is automatically published and becomes visible to community members.

Your upcoming scheduled posts are listed in a dedicated section where you can track and manage them before they publish.

How to Cancel a Scheduled Post
You can cancel a scheduled post at any time before it publishes. Cancelling removes the post entirely.

- Click Delete
Important Considerations
- A scheduled post is not visible to community members until its scheduled publish time, even if it has been approved by a moderator.
- Scheduled posts support the same content types as regular posts.
- If Review posts is enabled in your community space, a scheduled post must be both approved and past its scheduled time to appear in the community feed. A post that reaches its scheduled time before being approved will not publish automatically until it is approved.
- Community feeds display posts in order of their publish date. Posts created before this feature was introduced were automatically assigned a publish date matching their original creation date, so the existing order of posts in your community is preserved.
- The maximum scheduling window is 4 months from the time you create the post.
Frequently Asked Questions
How far in advance can I schedule a post?
You can schedule a post up to 4 months in advance from the time of creation.
Can I edit or change the scheduled time after scheduling a post?
You can edit the content of a scheduled post before it publishes. To change the publish time, cancel the scheduled post and create a new one with your preferred time.
What happens to my scheduled post if Review posts is enabled in my community space?
Your post needs to be both approved by a moderator or admin and past its scheduled publish time before it appears in the community feed. If the post is not yet approved when its scheduled time arrives, it will not publish automatically - it will publish once approved.
Will my existing community posts be affected?
No - existing posts continue to appear in the same order. Their feed position is based on their original creation date, which has been automatically applied as their publish date.
