Importing and exporting your theme is a helpful feature if you're looking to create a backup of your current theme or if you want to import a customized theme.
How to Export Your Current Theme
- Go to Design your site
- Select Theme Library
- Click on the ellipses (3 dot icon) next to the Build button
- Select Edit Code
- Click on the ellipses (3 dot icon) next to the Save button
- Select Export Theme
How to Import a New Theme
- Go to Design your site
- Select Theme Library
- Click on the ellipses (3 dot icon) at the top right of the Theme Library
- Select Import Theme
- Drag and drop your zip file or search for it
- Click Upload
- Select if you would like to Transfer content from Older Theme
- Confirm if you would like to Start Fresh or Transfer your Data
- You will see a confirmation message: Your theme has been queued for import. You will receive an email when the theme has been imported.
Important Considerations
- When you export the theme, you will receive an email, where you can download it as a ZIP file. You can use the exact same ZIP file to upload it - so you don't need to unzip it.
