If you have a ton of Chapters and Lessons in your course, it can help to view everything in our compact view when working on your content. You can also collapse and expand all Chapters at once!
The Curriculum area of the Course Builder is where you work on your lesson content. In this area, Chapters and Lessons can be added, deleted, and rearranged as desired. We have a couple features that can help you manage this visually, especially when you have a lot of content!
Compact View
Compact View allows you to see all of your lessons compressed. When it is turned on, you can visually view more of your lessons at once, which is great when working on smaller screens!
How to Turn on Compact View
- Go to Manage Learning Content
- Select Courses
- Click on a specific course in the Course Overview
- You will now be in the Course Curriculum area of the Course Builder
- On the bottom left, click the ellipses (3 dot icon) beside Add Chapter
- Select Compact View
Now you will see that all of your lessons are more compact and take up less space on your screen! You can also always go back to this menu to return to the Default View.
Collapse and Expand All Chapters
If you have a lot of content in your course, it can also help to collapse your Chapters all at once to help find what you are looking for.
You can think of Chapters as buckets that hold multiple lessons. If you are getting tired of scrolling because you have a lot of content, you can simply use the Collapse All option to display Chapters only! Each Chapter can then be selected to view the lessons contained within it.
On the other hand, you might want to have a look at all lessons included in your course. If this is the case, you can use the Expand All option to reveal all lessons contained within each Chapter.
How to Collapse and Expand All Chapters
- Go to Manage Learning Content
- Select Courses
