Create a question bank and quiz your students on a random set of questions for your Quiz lessons!

A randomized question bank allows you to add as many questions as you want within a specific quiz "bank", then select how many questions should appear when a student takes the quiz and the system will randomly generate a quiz for each student.

To enable this feature:

  • In the Classic Course Builder: within your Quiz lesson, you can simply check off the "Randomized question bank" feature
  • In the New Course Builder:
    1. In the quiz builder, click Settings in the top-right corner.
    2. Check Graded quiz.
    3. Under Passing grade, enter your desired grade percentage.
    4. (Optional) Check Show answers and explanations on all attempts to let learners see correct answers and explanations on the results page.
    5. Click Save settings.

Once you have checked the box, you'll see an option pop out that will ask how many questions you want to show up per quiz.

If a student opts to retake the quiz, the system will pull a new set of random questions for them to take so they should rarely see the same set of questions each time they take the quiz.
