You can verify your site by adding your Google site verification meta tag into your Thinkific settings.
Copy Your Google Site Verification Meta Tag
Sign into Google Webmaster Tools, enter your Thinkific URL (or custom domain), and to the URL Prefix.
Now you will be presented with various Verification Methods, please choose HTML tag
Copy the value of the tag - underlined in blue in the image above.
You only need to use the part of the tag underlined in the image above (i.e. just the part between the "quotes" after 'content'). Do not copy the the entire code snippet.
Paste Your Meta Tag in Thinkific Settings
Then, you'll need to paste it into your Thinkific account settings:
- Go to Settings
- Select the Code & analytics tab
- Click Google site verification meta tag on the left menu
- Paste the tag you copied in the Google site verification meta tag field
- Click Save
Complete Verification Google Webmaster Tools
Finally, return to the Google Webmasters Tools page and click Verify.
Verify With Google Analytics
You can also use Google Analytics to verify your site. The first step is to set up Google Analytics with your account.
Once Google Analytics is connected, the next step is setting up Google Site Verification: Sign into Google Webmaster Tools, enter your Thinkific URL, and then choose Add a Property.
Now you will be presented with various Verification Methods, please choose Google Analytics, and finally choose Verify.
