About This Feature
The weekly digest is an automated email designed to keep your community members informed and re-engage them in key community discussions. Each digest delivers a curated summary of the most popular posts and the latest conversations, ensuring members stay connected even if they haven't logged in recently.
With the weekly digest email, you can:
- Stay connected effortlessly: The weekly digest ensures members never miss important updates, keeping them in the loop with a recap of the top discussions.
- Reignite engagement: A natural touchpoint that brings inactive members back into the conversation by reminding them of what’s happening.
- Highlight valuable content: Showcases the most popular posts and latest discussions, making it easy for members to jump into relevant conversations.

How It Works
Every Tuesday, starting from 3:00 PM UTC, the weekly digest will be sent to all members in a community. The email contains the three most recent posts and three trending (highest engagement) posts from that community, along with a direct link to the community.
If a post is both new and trending, trending will take priority within the email, and if there are no new posts in the community for that week, an email will not be sent for that community.
Posts from private spaces will not be included in the weekly digest email.
Important Considerations
- Members who have not been active for over three months will not be sent an email.
- The email will be shown as coming from notify.thinkific.com. If you have email white labelling set up for your site, it will not apply to the weekly digest at this time.
How To Enable the Weekly Digest
By default, the weekly digest email is turned off within your communities. To enable it:
- Go to Products
- Select Communities
- Locate the community you want to edit then click the ellipses (3 dot icon) and click Edit
- Select Settings
- Select Weekly digest email
- Toggle on Weekly digest
- Click Save settings
And that's it! An email will automatically be sent to all members in that community each week.
This email is enabled per community - to enable the weekly digest for other communities, simply follow the above steps for any other communities you would like to have this enabled for.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many emails are sent out?
One email is sent per student per week for each community they are a member of. If a student is a member of three communities that each have the weekly digest enabled, they will receive a total of three emails for the week - one per each community.
Can I customize the weekly digest email?
At this time, the weekly digest email cannot be edited.
Can I turn off the weekly digest for a single member?
