If you have students on a current membership and they would like to either downgrade or upgrade to another membership level, we suggest that students cancel their current plan from their Student Dashboard, and enroll for the new membership on their end. This may automatically add a prorated credit for your student in Stripe, but we suggest confirming that this credit has been calculated and applied correctly by checking the student's customer profile in Stripe. Coupons can also be a great incentive to help students upgrade their membership and help with this transition!
Alternatively, you can do this yourself by manually unenrolling the student from the current membership, then enrolling them in the new course or bundle. You'll also need to change the student's subscription in Stripe so that they are billed the proper amount. However, note that this option is bypassing the Thinkific checkout and the subscription will not be connected to the enrollment. This means that if the student wants to cancel their subscription, they will need to reach out to you directly.
