Our After Purchase Flow feature allows you to customize where your student is sent upon completing a purchase on your site. If you are using our Facebook Pixel integration, the Purchase event is affected.

About This Feature
Our Facebook Pixel Integration automatically tracks a Purchase event for orders completed on your Thinkific site. However, if you have an After Purchase Flow set up, the Purchase event does not fire in all situations.
Here's an overview of the Facebook Pixel behavior based on your current After Purchase Flow:

No After Purchase Flow (Default Thank You Page)
If you do not have an After Purchase Flow created, your student will be directed to the default Thank You page upon completing their purchase.
The Facebook Pixel integration will create a Purchase event automatically with no additional coding or installation required.
Customized Thank You Page
If you've added a unique message to your Thank You page or included Upsells with the After Purchase Flow options, the Facebook Pixel integration will create a Purchase event automatically with no additional coding or installation required.
If you are doing any additional tracking or triggers based on a specific URL and not just the Purchase event, your customized Thank You page URL still follows the same format: mysite.thinkific.com/orders/thankyou/*
The * in the above example will be a unique variable that is created for each order that is processed successfully.

Directly to Course Player
If your After Purchase Flow sends the student directly to the Course Player, the Facebook Pixel integration will create a Purchase event automatically. Although the student does not land on the Thinkific Thank You page, our system will track the Purchase for you through our integration with no additional coding or installation required.
Redirecting to a Custom URL
If you select the destination for your After Purchase Flow as a custom URL, our Facebook Pixel integration does not automatically create the Purchase event for you.
In this case, since you are using a custom URL, you will want to install the code for a custom Purchase event to be created when someone lands on the custom URL. Please note that our Support Team is not able to help with custom installations of Facebook Pixel events.
Alternatively, you can track custom conversions based on the custom URL in your Facebook Pixel account, since all students will be landing on the same custom URL upon completing their purchase.
