Custom Themes
Thinkific provides a lot of options for course creators looking to customize the look and experience of their Site. For course creators, Site Builder from Thinkific lets you quickly build a beautiful, customized website including homepage, product pages, and additional pages containing any content you’d like. As a course creator, you can create on-brand sites (including custom pages) with ease, and without coding.
See our Site Customization section for articles on Customizing your Site, Custom Domains, and Editing Landing Pages in Site Builder and older themes.
For Developers, or those looking for even more custom options, our Custom Themes feature allows you to completely customize the appearance of your Thinkific site, by giving you access to the HTML/CSS. While we use Liquid, those familiar with HTML/CSS should find Liquid fairly easy to use.
This is available on all plans if you're on one of our older theme versions, but for our Site Builder themes, access to the theme editor requires our Pro plan and above. This is because the Site Builder themes themselves are so much more robust and offer customization options within the platform itself that do not require coding.
The following articles will help you get up and running using our Custom Themes.
Course Player Customization
We find the bulk of customizing occurs within the Site Builder section of Thinkific, but understand that sometimes you might like to make specific customizations to the look of your Course Player.
We don’t expose this code for customization, but we do have two places you can apply custom code to the Course Player. You can find our detailed instructions in our Applying CSS to the Thinkific Course Player article.
API, Webhooks, and SSO
Lastly, software developers can implement and create customized workflows using our API and Webhooks, as well as configure Single Sign On (SSO). The following articles provide a more detailed description of these features
